Shows I'm Seriously Obsessing Over On Netflix Right Now.

What ever did we do before Netflix? I'm certain that you (just like me) feel like you wasted a lot of your precious time growing up, watching crappy TV-shows that you didn't really enjoy, but still glued your eyes to - because nothing good was on after school. Do I really need to say more than Everybody loves Raymond or 7th Heaven? Didn't think so.
It's safe to say that a lot has changed in the last couple of years (I know, I sound like an old lady) and the selection of shows we now have at the swipe of a finger is truly ah-ma-zing. And we don't have to wait a week in-between episodes anymore either, we can do one season a day if we're really in the mood - thank goodness for that.
Having a few seasons of my favourite shows all lined up on Netflix was extra convenient these passed few days. I've been home sick, laying in bed totally bored and feeling sorry for myself. So, let's dive into what I've been watching to make myself feel a little bit better!

HOMELAND. I've watched this series before, but am now in the midst of re-watching the entire series. Funnily enough, around the same day as I started re-watching, my friend decided to do the very same - without knowing. This show is intense to say the least, and is one of very few shows that I feel can be somewhat realistic. It involves a strong female main character, the CIA and something unexpected in every episode, shortly put - it's very addictive & raw. Claire Danes who plays the main character Carrie is so talented it's actually crazy. However, my fave character isn't Carrie, but someone else. Who? Peter Quinn. You'll get why when you're a few seasons in - you just wait and see.
SUBURRA. Yet another series that shows a more "real" representation of how the world (read: Rome) looks. Why I was drawn to this specific one is A: because it was a Netflix original and I think they've been killing it lately with amazing shows, and B: because it's set in Rome. We get to follow two separate worlds, with one foot in the Vatican and the other in the grey and worn down suburbs of Rome. And eventually, these worlds collide.
HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER. A show that is very different from other crime shows, in the best way possible. A few American law students in Philadelphia get into a bit of a tricky one, where their brains, morals, and also their loyalty towards each other - are put to the test. And to make it even more complicated, the situation also involves one of their professors. And a murder. Yep, I told you - tricky.
